Subscription fees frozen for 2023/2024
18 Jan 2023
For the seventh consecutive year, we have frozen subscription fees for our affiliates, associates and MRCS members. This is in recognition of the cost of living increases and the financial demands of the profession.
In the last year, we've continued to add value for all membership categories as a result of your feedback. This has included:
- Introducing our all new Rewards Plus scheme for members to enjoy discounts on hundreds of brands and experiences. See how much you could be saving using our savings calculator.
- Expanding our library's online and in-person resources to support your study and professional development.
- Offering our members a 40% discount on our newly transformed Hybrid Training the Trainers course, providing savings of over £270.
- Awarding 59 research fellowships, grants and awards to members of all career stages seeking to advance surgical care.

There are also a number of circumstances where a reduced membership fee may be applicable. For instance, affiliate members who complete their MRCS Part B with us can benefit from our First Four membership package, allowing them to save up to £512 in their first four years of membership. To support Parents in Surgery, we waive all membership fees for those on maternity/paternity leave for the duration of this leave. We also offer reduced fees for those who have moved into non-surgical practice or have retired from clinical practice. Please contact our Membership Support Team if these or other relevant circumstances may apply to you.
