Results of elections to RCS Council

The membership of the Royal College of Surgeons has elected four members to the RCS Council at the ballot held on 16 April 2018. The following successful candidates will commence their four-year terms in July.
- Professor Paul O’Flynn who has been re-elected to Council. Paul is a Consultant ENT/Head and Neck Surgeon at University College Hospital in London and has been on Council since 2012.
- Professor Peter Kay who has been re-elected to Council. Peter is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire and is Honorary Clinical Professor at Manchester University. He was first elected to Council in 2012.
- Professor Farah Bhatti, a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea, and is chair of the RCS Women in Surgery Forum.
- Professor Peter Friend, a Consultant Transplant and Hepato-biliary surgeon and Director of the Oxford Centre at the Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust.
