New Year Honours 2025

RCS England congratulates all those surgeons and members of the College community recognised in the New Year Honours List 2025:

  • MBE: Dr Penelope Shirlaw.  For services to Dentistry. Dr Shirlaw is a past Faculty of Dental Surgery board member. 
  • MBE: Professor Keyoumars Ashkan. For services to Neurosurgery.
  • MBE: Professor David M Lloyd. For services to Surgery.
  • OBE: The Lady Wolfson of Marylebone. For services to Medical Research and to the Arts.
  • OBE: Professor Shehan Hettiaratchy. For services to the UK’s Emergency Health Response overseas.
