Ronald Raven Barbers’ Award
To assist surgeons going abroad to learn a new surgical technique or procedure, which they can use on their return to the UK to benefit their patients. Subject to satisfactory applicants, two awards of up to £2,500 each will be made. You must be a trainee/member of this College, a UK resident and not have already received a Ronald Raven Award.

Pump priming grants
The College is offering a limited number of awards of up to £10,000 to newly appointed consultants (appointed since 2020), senior lecturers, SAS doctors and post-doctoral trainees in surgery who are working at hospitals and universities within the UK. The grants aim to assist those in the early stages of their independent research careers. Applicants are not eligible if they have already received a Pump Priming grant from this College.

Intercalated Bachelor of Science Degree in Surgery or Surgical Related Area
The College is delighted to announce funding to award grants to medical students studying at UK medical schools wishing to undertake an Intercalated Bachelor of Science degree related to surgery in the academic year beginning September 2024. To be eligible you must be a paid affiliate of this College.
