The Royal College of Surgeons of England sends a message of solidarity to the people of Ukraine

The President of The Royal College of Surgeons of England has expressed solidarity and support with the people of Ukraine. Professor Neil Mortensen said:
“The onslaught of war from Russia against Ukraine is devastating. The catastrophic impact on all aspects of life for the population is already evident. We extend a message of solidarity to the people of Ukraine. Medical colleagues - who are working in dangerous and difficult circumstances caring for war injured, as well as maintaining services - are in our thoughts. We appeal to our Government and the wider international community to help bring a swift and peaceful resolution to this crisis to stop the suffering of the Ukrainian people.”
