This CPD course is appropriate for all members of the dental team providing conscious sedation.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe principles of best practice for conscious sedation in dentistry
  • Discuss how to assess the suitability of patients for conscious sedation
  • Describe the applied pharmacology of nitrous oxide and benzodiazepines
  • Describe principles, techniques and health & safety requirements for inhalation & intravenous sedation
