aims to highlight the change in practice related to third molar management over
the last 30 years and to reflect on the consequences of these changes.
To
consider treatment planning, risk management and the appropriateness of selective
prophylactic third molar removal. Discuss radiographic assessment and
quantifying the risk of inferior dental nerve injury in relation to third molar
surgery. Medico-legal aspects of third molar surgery.

- To evaluate IDN risk assessment for mandibular third molars.
- Medico legal aspects of third molar management.
