RCS England Innovation Hub

As part of our Future of Surgery programme, the RCS England Innovation Hub provides practical support to surgeons at all career stages to combine innovation with their surgical practice and training. The Innovation Hub team have backgrounds in surgery, nursing, and building innovative companies, products, and services.

Our vision 

To be a member’s first innovation hub that supports, educates and connects frontline surgical innovators with academia and industry to create and adopt world-class innovations in surgery. 

Our objectives 

RCS England’s Innovation Hub has been established with four goals: 

  1. To guide and mentor members through the intricate paths of innovation, from local technology adoption to pioneering ideas that enhance surgical practice. 
  2. To supply resources and training for both intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship, empowering innovators within the field. 
  3. To officially acknowledge and foster the role of the surgical innovator, providing the support needed for their development. 
  4. To forge a comprehensive network of surgical innovators, spanning RCS England’s membership, the UK’s medtech sector, and further afield.
