Patient questionnaires

Why do I have to fill in patient questionnaires?

Your hospital should ask you to fill in a questionnaire. This is good practice and allows you to give your feedback and let them know if you are satisfied with the results.

You should be asked to fill in one questionnaire before your surgery and another one roughly three months after your surgery. You should fill in the questionnaires on your own. Staff or the surgeon should not try to influence your answers. It is important you fill them inbecause your answers help other patients decide whether a procedure, surgeon or hospital is right for them. It will also help surgeons and hospitals to measure and, where required, improve the quality of care provided.
