COVID-19 Q&A: Surgical exams - next steps

Hear the latest update on surgical examinations at our next webinar on Wednesday 24 June. As we will be resuming examination activity from September 2020 this webinar will give you the chance to share your questions or concerns about future arrangements with our panel and help us develop our approach to surgical examinations and assessment.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is listening and we want to work with you as we move into the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The session will be chaired by Miss Fiona Myint and we will be joined by ASiT President Mr Josh Burke, BOTA President Mrs Tricia Campbell and Chair of the ICBSE Professor Frank Smith. We plan to do a follow up session on this topic in the summer to confirm the full details and plans.

Why should you tune in?

The webinar will give you the opportunity to hear the latest update on surgical examinations and raise concerns with key figures from the world of surgical examinations.

  • hear the latest update on plans for the FRCS and MRCS;
  • have your voice heard: raise concerns and ask questions
  • feed into plans for the resumption of examinations.

We want to ensure that we are supporting you and providing you with the most helpful information for yourself and your peers. Please get in touch with our events team with any questions or further topics you would like to be discussed during this session.

For those unable to join the livestream on Wednesday, the recording will be made available on our COVID-19 webinar page.
