We are delighted to be holding a joint session with the Yorkshire Regional Surgical Club in Leeds for their first meeting since the pandemic.
This event is free to attend. A deposit is required upon booking your ticket, which will be refunded upon attendance at the conference. If you book a ticket but are subsequently unable to attend the conference, please contact us in advance.
Please note the Extended Surgical Group deposit ticket type encompasses but is not limited to: nurses, surgical care practitioners and physician assistants.
Why attend?
Join us for this full-day meeting, chaired by Arin Saha, RCS England Regional Director, for updates from RCS England and for talks on addressing health inequalities in Yorkshire, changing cultures and behaviours in surgical teams and the career opportunities beyond the CCT.
We will also be hosting the traditional Registrars Prize Session and look forward to announcing more details soon. Speakers will include RCS England President; Professor Neil Mortensen and more details will be announced soon.
Who should come?
This event is open to all grades and specialties from medical students and the wider team to consultant and SAS surgeons, surgical leaders and everyone in between. Surgical trainees will have the opportunity to submit entries to the Registrars Prize Session.
How to submit an abstract
The Yorkshire Regional Surgical Club Gold Medal is awarded to the best trainee presentation at the Annual Meeting. All trainee surgeons are invited to submit an abstract of their work to arin.saha@cht.nhs.uk
Successful authors will be invited to present at the Yorkshire Regional Surgical Club Trainees Prize Session and the winning presentations will be announced at the end of the meeting. All surgeons, in both training and non-training posts, from all levels and specialties are eligible to submit work for consideration for presentation at the Prize Session.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 12pm on Monday 16 January 2023 and successful authors will be notified by Friday 20 January 2023.
