Event Overview
The Royal College of Surgeons of England, ATLS® and ATNC Steering Groups invite you to the ATLS® and ATNC National Day held at the RCS England in London and online.
The day focuses on different aspects of the ATLS® and ATNC programmes. We will evaluate the last 18 months and take a look at new developments, including plans for the 11th edition of ATLS®.
Why attend?
Gain insights into the essential role of ATLS® Coordinators and Directors; Shirine Yasse, ATLS® and ATNC Coordinator at UCLH and Dr Simon Walton, ATLS® course director, will share their challenges and how they have overcome them.
Listen to first-hand experiences of trauma care; Mr Mo Belal, Consultant Urological Surgeon at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, will share his experience as a trauma patient.
Mary E. “Libby” Schroeder and Terri A. deRoon-Cassini will deliver a joint talk on minimising the psychological impact of trauma via patient engagement.
The clinical session will focus on Intraosseous (IO) access. Dr Christopher Ross, Medical Director at Teleflex, will talk about the science supporting IO access, while Mr Lee Gray, Emergency Medicine Consultant from Pool and ATLS® Steering Group member, will focus on the practical application of IO access.
How can I attend?
The event will be hybrid and available in person or online. We hope you can join us. Please note you must book a place to access the event.Please note: Recently, we have noted a very high non-attendance rate at free update events. Therefore, to ensure maximum effectiveness and to reduce waste, we require a refundable deposit from in-person attendees.
Deposits will be refunded on attendance or if you cancel by Wednesday 21 February 2024. For cancellations within 7 days of the conference, please contact the team.
