LDS Part 2 Course

The Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England will be delivering a refreshed version of the LDS part 2 course which is designed to prepare trainees for many of the practical components contained within the Part 2 LDS examination. 

Course content includes an update on the new format; Unseen Cases with various case scenarios delivered with professional actors; followed by a session dedicated to OSCEs in the form of a mock circuit which includes Medical Emergencies; and the all-important in depth individual feedback.

Suitability

This course is suitable for candidates preparing for:

  • LDS part 2 examination
  • ORE part 2 examination
  • MFDS part 2 examination (some elements*)
 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the event, participants will:

  • Be appraised of the new exam format for part 2;
  • Be familiar with unseen cases both theory and practice;
  • Understand the requirements for conducting an OSCE;
  • Provided the opportunity to practice OSCEs within a mock exam circuit
 

Format

This course will be delivered via a series of didactic lectures, workshops, practical cases and OSCEs with dedicated time for individual feedback.
