Join us for an engaging day about drugs affecting the delivery of dentistry, where we will explore osteonecrosis of the jaw, antibiotic stewardship and more.
You will have the opportunity to engage in a panel discussion and hear from consultants, specialists, senior clinical fellows and professors in oral surgery.
This day is relevant for trainees and consultants with a particular interest in oral surgery but would also apply to all professions in the field of dentistry.

Educational Aims & Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will:
- Be aware of drugs that may precipitate the development of medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw following the extraction of teeth and ways of mitigating the risk of developing this condition;
- Become more conversant with the newer oral anticoagulants and be signposted to guidelines which will enable them to treat patients on these medications more safely;
- Be updated on antibiotic stewardship in dentistry;
- Be aware of commonly used anti-epileptic drugs and the impact of these medications on the oral cavity and delivery of dental treatment
